As a registered vaccine service provider, Gladstone Regional Council is committed to providing the Gladstone region with a professional vaccination service, dedicated to reducing the incidence of vaccine-preventable communicable diseases by offering free immunisations for age appropriate residents. Vaccines provided are in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council's - National Immunisation Program Schedule (NIPS), are supplied by Queensland Health and administered by qualified health professionals.
Agnes Water Health Services offers free childhood vaccinations with clinics regularly held in Miriam Vale, Agnes Water and Baffle Creek. For clinic details and bookings, please contact Agnes Water Health Services on (07) 4902 1100.
Vaccines provided are in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council's - National Immunisation Program Schedule (NIPS). In accordance with the vaccination schedule, the following vaccinations are provided to age appropriate children:

Gladstone and Calliope areas no longer provide childhood immunisations for babies and infants. However, Council has maintained records for all childhood immunisations that have previously been administered. To obtain your child's vaccination history or for further information on immunisation generally, please contact Council's Environmental Health section on (07) 4970 0772 or email.
Your family doctor or Community Health Services (Gladstone) carry out vaccinations for babies and young children up to school age. For further information on immunisation services provided by Community Health Services (Gladstone) contact them directly on 4976 3130.

Council offers a free school based vaccination program for the region. Vaccines provided are in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council's - National Immunisation Program Schedule (NIPS). In accordance with the vaccination schedule, the following vaccinations are provided:

Council provides advice and consent forms to all students in the appropriate year level. Consent forms should be completed and returned to the school even if no vaccination is requested. All students vaccinated will receive a record to take home after their vaccination. Council maintains records for all school based vaccinations. School based vaccinations are carried out at each high school with the clinics generally scheduled during March, May and September/October. If a student misses the scheduled clinic at school, catch-up vaccination is provided at either a doctor's surgery or Council based clinic.
As part of the school based program, Council will record vaccination details and they will be entered into Queensland Health's vaccination database. Queensland Health is committed to safeguarding the privacy of client information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles. Council also provides free influenza and pneumococcal vaccinations for residents who are 65 years of age and older or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders who are 50 years of age and older. Clinics are usually held in March each year, prior to the commencement of the flu season.
