New Payment Reference Numbers for Rates & Water Notices
Ratepayers in the region are being urged to pay close attention to their latest water bills as Gladstone Regional Council's newly integrated financial system has resulted in a change to all residents' payment reference numbers.
To avoid potential confusion and frustration, it is important for rate payers to make sure that their new payment reference numbers are utilized when it comes to paying rates and water bills.
The 2009/2010 Rate Notices issued on the 8th September 2009 for the financial year 01/07/2009 - 30/06/2010. All discount periods have closed. The new payment reference numbers appear on the notices, along with Council's updated biller code which will impact on residents who pay their rates and or water bill via BPay or through Australia Post.
The new payment reference numbers will be the same for the annual rates and water bill, with the next water bill due to be issued by Council in January 2010.
