Organisations receive a stack of benefits, including promotion of the activity by our team of Ambassadors, free advice and support to increase participation and obtain funding at our Healthy Active Sports Forum and use of the Healthy Active Gladstone Region branding to promote the activity!
- Start a program to get new people to join your activity.
- Target market to specific groups within the community (such as mothers with young children or seniors).
- Provide cut up fruit for your after school sport or training.
- Attend our Healthy Active Sports Forum for ideas on increasing participation and where to get funding.
Feel free to come up with your own innovative ideas on what will motivate people to be more active and healthy. Remember to share them with us!

Softball is a sport that can be played by all age groups, shapes and sizes. The primary target for Gladstone Softball in 2009 is to increase participation by men (target of 50). Often shiftworkers find it difficult to participate in team sports, so we offer a $5 fee per game and organise teams accordingly. The skills that softball provide are “learned for life” and participation at an early age will dramatically increase the chance that a person will play a team sport as an adult. |
