Local Fire Bans

Local Fire Bans are currently in place for the Gladstone Regional and surrounding areas. Council's Parks & Recreation Department have taken the precaution and have removed all firewood from all wood fired barbeques.

This includes wood firedbarbeques at Canoe Point, Millennium Esplanade and Parks in Calliope, Miriam Vale Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy Area. Electric BBQ's are still available in most Council parks, and their use is still permitted during the fire ban, provided they are not left unattended.

Strictly NO CAMPFIRE's allowed at Calliope River Camping Grounds or any other camping grounds until the Fire bans are cancelled.

Firewood will be returned to Council wood fired barbeques once it is safe to do so.
