Kin Kora Roundabout
Council continues to receive a number of complaints about traffic congestion at the Kin Kora roundabout on the Dawson Highway. As this roundabout is at the intersection of Philip Street and the Dawson Highway, and these roads are the responsibility of the Department of Main Roads (DMR), it is technically a State Government asset.
We know it’s a problem, and we know it causes our residents, ratepayers and visitors to the City frustration on a regular basis which is why we are happy to raise your issues with DMR. However, we do ask that you provide us with some details, including the exact time, the amount of time you were in the queue, the entrance to the roundabout you were approaching and which lane you were approaching the roundabout in.
These details will help Main Roads identify issues and allow them to review footage and modify timings for the lights. It is even better if you put these details in writing as we can refer your concerns through to Main Roads in your own words.
